Blick Clinic's Speech and Language Pathologist are Board Certified by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) maintaining Clinical Certificates of Competence as well as being certified by the Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology in the state of Ohio. In addition to these qualifications, our clinicians have twenty-seven years combined experience working with communication and swallowing disorders. They are able to identify and treat children and adults with a variety of communication and swallowing delays/ disorders such as:
Our Speech and Language Pathologist are well experienced with team processes and have a particular strength in working with families and supporting classroom teachers and employers. Our clinicians are comfortable communicating with parents, teachers, physicians, social workers and other therapists. We have provided evaluations and treatment in a variety of settings including, local school districts, private schools, virtual schools, Help Me Grow programs, County of Summit Developmental Disabilities Board as well as individual clients seen in our own clinic. Our Speech-Language Pathologist are dedicated to providing each client with a focused plan of care utilizing evidence based treatment approaches. Augmentative and alternative communication devices such as iPads, along with a variety of speech generating devices, allow us to individualize our treatments based on individual specific needs.
This service is available for individuals of all ages. Although our therapists specialize in serving people with developmental disabilities, a DD diagnosis is not required. A Physician's prescription may be needed for certain services. |
