Blick Clinic's Residential Services are certified through the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities as an Individual Options Medicaid Provider. Blick Clinic is also certified as a Supported Living Provider.
Short, intermediate and long term supported living arrangements are available that enable someone with a developmental disability to enjoy life within the community.
We offer both Staffed Homes and Foster Family Homes. Interdisciplinary teams work with individuals to help them determine which home setting will be most enjoyable and beneficial for them while satisfying their developmental needs.
Service Settings include:
Two to four individuals with similar interests and needs share a typical neighborhood home. Daily care routines, appointments and activities are assisted by certified, trained and supervised Residential Support staff. Homes are staffed 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, with a high staff to client ratio.
Currently, Blick Clinic operates over 22 Staffed Homes located within Portage and Summit Counties.
A foster provider may be single or married and with or without children of their own. The foster provider includes the individual in the daily life and routines of the family home. All providers are certified and trained accordingly to meet the needs of the individuals being placed in their care.
Support services are also available to assist the foster provider in providing recreational and leisure activities to the individual.
Blick Clinic's full array of Clinical services, Medical/Nursing services, Day Programs, Developmental Therapies and Residential Services, are designed to work together and coordinate with each other to help enhance the lives of people with disabilities in all aspects of their life.
Individuals eligible for the IO Waiver are eligible for Blick Clinic Residential Services. Your interdisciplinary team will assit you with determining whether Staffed or Foster Family Homes are more appropriate.
