A foster provider may be single or married and with or without children of their own. The foster provider engages the individual in daily life and routines of the family home. Support services are available to assist the foster provider in providing recreational and leisure activities to the individual.
Short-term planned or emergency respite is available in a group home that is reserved for that purpose with services provided to seek appropriate long-term placement.
Intermittent supports, such as for shopping, doctor appointments, or leisure activities, can be provided to an individual with independence in most life areas.
The full array of Clinical Services and/or Blick Day Programs can be combined with Residential Services with the goal of increasing an individual's quality of life.
Currently, Blick Clinic operates twelve (12) group homes, one respite home, has twelve (12) individuals in foster placements and serves several Level I participants in Summit and Portage Counties.
