Partial Hospitalization is a short-term psychiatric treatment program for adults who have a developmental disability and a mental health diagnosis and who are in need of more intervention than can be typically provided by outpatient treatment. Partial Hopitalization provides group treatment in wellness, vocational social skills, managing emotions, problem solving and independent living. Therapeutic activities and Occupational Therapy provide training and practice with new coping skills. Partial Hospitalization operates Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00A.M.-3:00P.M. at the Blick Clinic Annex building located at 682 West Market Street. Schedules are based on the individual's treatment needs and transportation arrangements. There is a 3 hour minimum duration per scheduled day.
Referral to Partial Hopitalization is made by a Behavorial Health provider for adult clients who need temporary stabilization in a therapeutic environment. The program serves adults who may be at risk for psychiatric hospitalization or who have recently been hospitalized. The program is limited to persons having the ability to participate, communicate, and benefit from group mental health treatment. |
